Knuckles had to make a choice to either let GUN take him or let Sonic get killed. Knuckles said, "GUN, I would not come with you!" A GUN soldier said, "Then, watch as the hedgehog dies!" He pushed the button and the electricity starts to come towards Sonic. Knuckles yelled out, "Sonic!" He flew up and landed right next to Sonic inside the wires. He picked him up and threw him but just as he did that, the wires starts to shock him really badly! Knuckles screamed out in pain. Sonic yelled out, "KNUCKLES!!!!" He ran to the soldier and spindashed on him and knocked him out cold. The wires broke apart and Knuckles flew in the air and landed on the ground. Sonic yelled out, "Knuckles!" He ran to him and lifted his head. He said, "Knuckles, why? In the name of Mobius, why?!" Knuckles slowly opened his eyes and weakly said, "I had to do it, Sonic. I don't want you hurt." Sonic said, "But, you don't have to do this. You could've let me get killed." Knuckles said, "I can't because I couldn't stand losing you." He slowly reached out and placed a hand on Sonic's cheek. He said, "I don't want my very best friend die on me." Tears began to appear in Sonic's eyes.
